Took a plane ride with Uncle Wayne from Floydada to Silverton and over our house to take pictures. Melody was a scared at first, but was having a great time 5 min into the the ride. Dustin flew the plane and now hes determined to be a pilot when he grows up! We had such an awesome time, Thanks Uncle Wayne!

Halloween 12'

Dustin and Melody dressed as Optimus Prime and Cinderella this year. JD went to school on Melys bday to carve pumpkins with her and she chose to carve...you guessed it Cinderella. I made mummy cupcakes for her class. Dusty wanted to carve Stitch off "Lilo and Stitch."

Melody Turns 5

My baby turned 5 and we celebrated at my moms Octoberfest this year. I also tried my camera out to take her 5 year pics and was satisfied with the way they turned out.

JD's Over The Hill

I tried to surprise JD with a birthday party this year being that he was turning 40 but ended he ended up finding out anyway. It was a great party anyways!

The highlight of our trip was me, Dale, mom, and dad climbing to the summit of Mt. Elbert the tallest mountain in Colorado. The hardest thing ive ever done!

After Mueller we traveled to Chapman Lake where we fished, hiked, and climbed trees!

1st Day Of School

Melody and Dustin are now in school now that Mely started prek. Dustins teacher is Mrs. Strange and Melys is Mrs. Mitchell.

For our family vacation this year we traveled to Colorado for a camping trip at Chapman Lake campground that my family is been going to since before I was born. We also tried out Mueller State park east of Colorado Springs and barely missed the wild fires that ravaged so much of the national forest. The pics are of Mueller where we were able to see so much wildlife and the park had lots of educational opportunities for kids.

Dustin and Melody got to play on the same baseball team this year and had a blast with their friends.

Dustin graduated Kindergarden and go and award for excellence in science, dramatics, and talent.

Easter Egg Hunt with Grandmother

On Sunday we went to Grandmothers new house in town and surprised the kids with a "souped up" easter egg hunt they werent expecting. I figured it was time to challenge them this year compared to past years when you just lay the eggs out in plain site. They really embraced the challenge and had an awesome time.

Bob wills Day in Turkey, Tx was great fun with Dale, Tammy, Ava, and mom and dad coming out for the festivities.

Dustin and JD started fiddle lessons with local hall of famer than played with Texas Playboys and Bob Wills. Really exited to watch both of them progress

and learn the art of the fiddle.
