The entire family was treated to a ski trip in Red River, NM by Mom and Dad Green. J.D. taught Dustin how to ski and by the end of the trip he was going down the bunny slop by himself. Mom and Beth pulled the kids around on the sled and had quite a snow ball fight. We also went on a snowmobile tour thru the mountains, that was awesome! Dale, Dad, and I spent hours on the slopes until our legs felt like noodles. It was a well needed vacation and a great trip to spend with the family, thanks Mom and Dad!!
We enjoyed an evening of German food, beer, and entertainment. Dale played his fiddle and banjo around the campfire while the kids danced. It was a great friend and family reunion that we look forward every year. Dad even took on us on a hay ride around the property, but we felt more like cattle being hauled to the sale barn!
We celebrated Melody's 1st birthday at Mom and Dad Green's house in addition to the annual Octoberfest. There was a great turn out with the Daniels, Jamie, Zach, Dub, Lete, Dale, Tara, Ava, Beth, Mom, and Dad
I need a hobby, something that I can be proud of and look forward to doing often. My 2 young children are my hobbies, and I cannot tear myself away from spending every free moment with them. Working a full time job as a nurse consumes time that I can not waste any more of on hobbies. Although blogging is a hobby that can provide away to illustrate their lives growing up. Each one of their births seems like a blink of an eye ago. If there were only away to slow time or better yet travel in time to any first smile, first step or first "I love you mommy," but in the mean time I will just have to blog.
