THANKSGIVING 09'

For Thanksgiving this year we drove to Grandma and PaPa Green's house. We drove on the 4 wheeler to see a flock of turkeys and the kids played really hard with all the toys. We also played video games and watched the Cowboys beat the Lions. The kids also enjoyed watching their first Macys Thanksgiving day parade. J.d. could not resist going for a turkey hunt for the first time and by luck was able to shoot 2 turkeys with one shot. Does anyone know how to cook a wild turkey?

TRIMMING THE TREE

Now that we have picked out the perfect Christmas tree, Dustin and Melody were ready to get decorating. When grandma asked Dustin if he was going to trim the tree, his response was "I think I want to keep it tall!" Melody and Dustin managed to hang all the balls and ornaments without breaking anything. We topped the festive night off with a cup of hot cocoa and watched Christmas Vacation.

FINDING THE PERFECT TREE

Every year the entire family goes in search to cut down the perfect christmas tree. Although, some years they have turned out to be more like Charlie Brown Christmas trees. All the kids had a great time riding the barrel train and swinging on the tire horses. It didn't take long for Dustin and Melody to spot their perfect tree.

MELODY TURNS 2!

For Melody's 2nd birthday we had a party at the Flower mound Pumpkin patch. All the family came and also some of her friends Jamie, Gavin, Gracin, Hayden, Hudson, and Ava. They played in bounce houses, rode on a pony, hay ride, and other rides. The kids had a great time and got to try out their Halloween costumes for the first time.

COLORADO VACATION

We spontaneously went on a vacation to Colorado Springs, Co. for 4days and stayed at a cabin at the koa campground. While we were there we visited the Pro Rodeo hall of fame, Manitou cliff dwellings, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, and took the cog railway to the top of Pikes Peak (elevation 14,000 ft). Dustin and I both experienced altitude sickness on top of the mountain and decided that we liked living a little closer to sea level. Suprisingly the kids handled the 13 hr car drive like champs and proved they will be able to handle the traditional Green family vacation to Chapman lake next summer with the grandparents.

BYE BYE CRIB

Melody graduated to toddler bed for the first night. I'm afraid it was too easy. She went to sleep without a peep and didn't hear her until 7:00 am when she was running down the hall.
